OHMYGOD!!!!!!! That was AMAZING!!!!  :thud: :thud: :thud: :help:

Sorry..........do you want a bit more detail? :teehee:

The evening was everything & more that I had hoped for!
The atmosphere in the Anvil was electric and Lee got such a reaction from us! He was very talkative & just said anything that popped into his head!! "are my flies undone?" :suprise: "Betsy poos every 2 minutes!" :hysterical:

Lee sang 19 songs - please someone correct me of I've forgotten one! - and in no particular order (because I was/am so Mead Mushed that I can't remember)......
PAINT IT BLACK
GONNA MAKE YOU A STAR
COLLIDE
NOTHING ELSE MATTERS
HOLDING ON TO LETTING GO
KISS - complete with sexy swaggering and jacket twirling :thud: :thud: Dare I say it but he sings it better than Tom Jones!!!
BARRACADES
BEYOND THE SEA - he can so do Swing!
GET BACK - very excited, running & sliding onto the stage at the start of the 2nd Act
CLOSE EVERY DOOR - so emotional I nearly wept!
ANY DREAM WILL DO - the whole audience was the Choir
WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL
WHEN I NEED YOU THE MOST
ANTHEM
JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR -m he hit the highest note I've ever heard him hit and it was AMAZING!! (I'm using that word a lot!! :lol )
MORE THAN WORDS
WHEN THE STARS GO BLUE
IF I CAN DREAM
DAYDREAM BELIEVER

There where a few standing ovations at the end of some of the songs and at the end when he finished with If I Can Dream and then we all remained standing for his encore Daydream Believer

The unfortunate thing about a performance leaving you on such a high is the massive fall you have to go through after and the days to follow!! However, its all worth it & I can't wait for Grimsby :whoohoo: :whoohoo:

Thanks to Diana on LMAS here are some YouTube vids of some of the concert!!! Cheers Diana :blowkiss:

Quote:
I got eight songs recorded. Some are better quality visually than others as the coloured lights were not liked by the camera. There are a couple with fab visuals as they turned those lights off but the sound is fine on all of them.

1) Paint it Black & Gonna Make You A Star
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8q9Lbl5Gwk
2) Close Every Door (This one is very, very special I think)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwegQBSH1O0
3) Kiss (I adore this, such fun, again please Lee!!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRlaWdSM6XU
4) More Than Words
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kH9FaNPtFqw
5)Beyond The Sea (I know someone who loves this, so this is for her :) )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzi70Qgqyns
6) When I Need You The Most (The lights were turned off part way through and it makes a huge difference!)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ikz2goddVmU
7) If I Can Dream (This is really better suited to a baritone but I still loved it so don't shoot me)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30HRG1WIZrY

It was fab to share it with Claire   and to meet so many of you before the show and force some food down, and a glass of wine of course  :spin:
There was a massive 'scrum' at the Stage Door afterwards and we stood at the back so my pics are a little hazy :lol
He was out for what seemed like ages signing things & having pics taken

OMG!! I completely agree with everything Ange said - IT WAS FANTASTIC!! Just watched the CED vid and it gave me goosebumps again. How on earth did we cope last night, Ange!!

Thanks for sharing the experience with me too

I can't believe I actually went into work this afternoon - bloomin auditors!!- it has been a bit of a surreal day, really, and my head is still not straight. Still in a state of mead-mushiness!!

LOL
Claire

Can see I'm gonna have to go get a hospital check up before I have another heart attack if he keeps doing Kiss

I'm with you Stace - I always stand for concerts, but they are usually big stadium
ones. This was quite an intimate theatre and there were a lot of 'normal' people there
along with the fans. I did a fair bit of boogie-ing in my seat though!

Lol
Claire

eta: Mead-musher brain and small iPod keypad not a good combination!!

:lol are you struggling Claire?

Yes Stace I would have preferred to have stood for a lot of the concert but as Claire said we had to go along with the majority, plus you have to remember that the average age is probably a lot higher than some concerts :lol

yes Claire, I remember thinking " we're gonna break this row of seats!" :suprise: :hysterical:

hmmm i see ya point.

But still.... i've been to theatre venues for concerts and what not as they still stood...... i've even watched a concert live at a cinema [now that was a bizzare experience] and we still stood HAHA!!

But you are right.... the average age probably is older then most concerts haha!
