Oh WOW!!!!
Last night was the best yet for me!
After a mad dash through the streets of Birmingham city centre (stoopid trains

) We fell into our seats at exactly the same time as Lee ran on stage to PIB
The show was packed full of energy and Lee was so chatty & jokey and seemed to really enjoy himself - as he's just Tweeted that he did
The set was a little different as he sang two Christmassy songs - Chestnuts Roasting & Have Yourselves a Merry Little Christmas. Now these 2 stand out for 2 distinct reasons

Firstly listening to him sing them brought to mind melted chocolate being poured over a chocolate Yule Log

Secondly Lee asked us if we wanted his chestnuts as an introduction to the song

then when we all laughed he said that they has been roasted a few times
PLUS he sang Dancing Through Life

with a few dance moves thrown in!!! It when down a storm especially as when he was introducing the song he was telling is about the 'breeches' but he called them jodpurs and commented about how much they "show EVERYTHING"
Several standing ovations from a very appreciative audience but the highlight in an evening of highlights was JCS! Oh my Lee was on top form
I've seen him perform this live 3 times previously and as with all of his musical numbers Lee goes 'into the zone' and becomes the character in the song. However last night he WAS Judas throwing out the words with such anger, confusion and disappointment. Striding round the stage demanding to know why Jesus had taken the route he had! After the screaming applause and standing ovation Lee looked very pleased and teased us with a comment that he'd maybe like to do that show sometime - more applause and screaming - then asked us which part?......I think the shouts for Judas won the day
(Lets hope that he was hinting at future possibilities!!)
The evening was rounded off with a well ordered queue in the bar area to see Lee seated at a table signing pics, flyers & tickets. There was a no photo's rule due to time constraints and those taking photos from the sidelines where asked to move once they had a pic. There was some consternation about this but I kind of understand why they did this as it may have got a little claustrophobic for Lee sat at his little table in the corner
When I got to the table Lee smiled at me *melts* and I commented that it felt like a book signing *hint hint* and he laughed as he signed my ticket - with a full and legible signature! - and said that it was a good idea but that he'd have to collect a few more experiences first. Claire immediately told him that we would definitely buy it
It was then back to the hotel for a post-show wind down with a jug of something potent
I just have to say that one of the things that make these trips all the more enjoyable is meeting everyone again, even of its only for a wave across the stalls or a quick hug
