I got this dvd as a birthday present yesterday and watched it the same evening. I loved every minute of it! The acting was great, the views were great, the music was great. I just thought it was beautifully done! And I cried my eyes out at the end!
Have you seen the film? Did you like it?

Oh my god I ADORE it!
I went to the cinema to see it, and cried my eyes out. Then I bought it on DVD as soon as it came out, I really do love it. It so deserved all the awards and nominations. The acting is superb. And the soundtrack is beautiful.
I'm glad you enjoyed it Marieke!

It's so good! I started crying when Ennis got the postcard (you know the one, don't want to accidentaly spoiler something :) ) and the phonecall was so sad too! I tried to pull myself together for the last couple of minutes, but the final scene... I completely broke down again. It was so sad! And so very good too!

Ohmigod, I LOVE this film! It made me cry lots too. Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal are fantastic in it! (I love Jake Gyllenhaal... come to think of it, I rather love Heath Ledger too!)
But yes, I love this film so much... wait, why don't I have it on DVD yet?! That's just silly!

Glad you enjoyed it Marieke!

Jack Twist's speech (You know the speech I'm talking about!) makes me cry my eyes out.

Jake Gyllenhaal is great.
And Heath Ledger is great too! Can't wait to see him as The Joker in the next Batman movie (a COMPLETELY different role to this though of course!)

They were both great!

I thought Heath Ledger was great in A Knight's Tale too, but in this, his acting... Wow!
And Jake Gyllenhaal's portrayal of Jack Twist was just awesome! Wow too!

Oh my god A Knight's Tale!! I love that film! It's my happy film - if ever I feel depressed or upset, I'll put that on and I'm instantly feeling better! It makes me laugh loads!

I love a Knights Tale and Brokeback Mountain. Also a good 'Happy Film' with Heath Ledger is 10 Things I Hate About You - reworking of Taming of the Shrew and he's goregous in it!!

LOL

Me too! I actually know the whole film by heart, I've watched it countless times!

Squeee! Another Batfan!! Are you, Orange Peas? I agree that playing the Joker is going to be one hekuva role to play. Most fans favor Jack Niclson's flamboyant impression since the 1989 Batman movie. But I trust Ledger to be a more vicious and bloodthirsty character on screen. The trailer for The Dark Knight freaked me out enough!

He's going to be great as the Joker! I saw the trailer too and he was absolutely creepy! :D

I'm not a HUGE Batman fan... I always preferred Superman and X Men actually... But I do enjoy the Batman films. (Well... Maybe not Batman and Robin which is just awful lol) Batman Begins was so so good - what an amazing supporting cast! Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine... WOW!
The trailer for The Dark Knight looks great - and I'm sure Heath Ledger will be brilliant as The Joker! Jack Nicholson was great but I think Heath Ledger could be BETTER!

It truly is a waste! He will be missed! I feel so sorry for his daughter too! :(

I´m trying to decide whether to watch A Knight's Tale in a bit, but it's probably too odd right now! Maybe later :)

Considering we were literally JUST talking about him the past two days....
Today I got out my Knights Tale and Brokeback Mountain DVDs and thought "Ooh I'll watch them tomorrow!" because I've got a day off and we'd been talking about him. But now... I just feel too sad. It's so horrible, it's really tragic.

I just saw this too!! I'm really shocked and saddened! I can't believe we were just talking about him, and now - this! What a waste, and what a terrible tragedy for his family.

LOL
