Helloooo.... i hope i put this is the correct place?! :S
I've been promising for a while now to share some thoughts and piccys from cardiff... and todays the day!! *tonight*
The concert to sum up was FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASIC... *cough cough*
Lee was on fire and sooo passionate that night I can speak for everyone who was there by saying how emotional and deep it was and how he drew us all into the night of comedy.. singing... ooo and a little dancing too!!
Some highlightish moment...
1...When he came onto the stage first.. the band strikes up... the lights go down... (insidentaly... there were some annoying people who failed to take their seats before hand and they interupted our row!!
argh!!) but thennn..... there he was... in all his bouncing glory....!!!
(my heart skipped a beat... and i didn't breathe!! ahah)
2... Of course all the songs were sung beautifully... but i absolutely loved hearing 'holding on to letting go' sung live as this is one of my favourite songs off the album.. also 'Jesus Christ superstar' with the added extremely up in the Gods HIGH NOTE at the end.... aaaaaaaaa....... (me attepting to mimik it! ahaha...) it was sooo amazing i was glued to my seat at the end and failed to stand up to give him an ovation!!
...
Other highlights included, 'Dancing through life' with some added dance moves ;) and 'Anthem' bringing a close to the first set....
I have to say though... after seeing his version of 'Kiss' in other concerts on youtube I had high hopes for this one but I was slightly disappointed in it.. but having said that is was still magnificant... and he almost fell!! ;) we would have been there to catch you lee not to worry!!
3... Niamh Perry was also on fire that night... her set list was amazing and her talent is exceedingly good and it was a treat to hear her there too.... especially in 'When the stars go blue'.... made a change to connie fisher from the album...
4... I don't know if any other fans out there noticed but when he announced 'Collide' he did slip up by saying it was from the first album... but correction it is actually from the second!
but I forgave him.. ahaha..
5... The little music interlude for lee to get a drink... ahaha.. JCS wore him out and he got a 'bit dizzy'.. teehee.... the 'awkward' silence where he had to take a sip of water and the keyboard player played some 'lift' music to fill the gap and almost made lee choke on his water!!
ahaha...
Anywhoos.. the whole thing was amazing and especially the kindness of the ladies sitting around us as we later realised included angel and co. !!!! It was fab finally putting faces to names and re-assuring my mother that there are actual lee mead fanatics out there! :P
Thank you for an amazing night lee!!! And i look forward to meeting some of you again soon!!
