'Torchwood' soundtrack to be released
Thursday, June 19 2008, 20:21 BST

By Ben Rawson-Jones, Cult Editor

A release for the soundtrack to cult BBC series Torchwood has been officially confirmed.

The latest issue of Torchwood Magazine states that the CD will be released by Silva Screen in late 2009 and contain incidental music by Ben Foster from both seasons of the show.

Silva Screen has previously been responsible for two Doctor Who soundtrack releases containing the music of Murray Gold.

Torchwood Magazine also confirmed that the shortened third season of the show will air over five consecutive nights on BBC One.

Oh, can't wait!! The score was fab again last series and I'd LOVE to have it on cd!
Can't wait for the S4 soundtrack of DW either! Very Happy

All you fans of Captian Jack should see the Torchwood Panel at the San Diego Comi Con that was held in July 2008. I was surprised at first to see the actors in California instead of Cardiff but realized John Barrowman was in North America anyway for the “Candian Maria” show. I was also surprised at the roaring cheer from the crowd. Apparently I'm not the only Leftpondia who likes Torchwood!

I would have loved to ask John if he ever considered the similarities between Captain Jack Harkness and Captain Jack Sparrow....aside from their passionate jar fetish. ^^

"Freema Agyeman has signed on to play a prosecutor on the UK version of Law & Order. As a result, she's been "ditched" (according to The Sun ) from Torchwood's season 3 mini-series. It is rumored that some feathers are ruffled at the BBC."

And another bit of news: and audio play of TW will broadcast on Radio 4 on September 10 featuring JB, Gareth David-Lloyd, Freema Agyeman and Eve Myles. Lost Souls is set after the events in series 2. Very Happy
