Not sure - I thought everything was just disappearing like lights going out. May have to watch it again on iPlayer at some point this week.

Didn't even cross my mind that the Doctor was the thing imprisoned in the Pandorica!!

Lol

I just watched the end bit again as I recorded it & it certainlee looks like they are :-0

I had my suspicions when the Dr was talking about the most feared thing in the Universe that would drop from the sky to destroy worlds....but obviouslee thats from the Legend so kind of makes sense but my head always implodes when I try to think about time lines & time travel :lol :lol

Dude, seriously, What?!

That sort of sums up my response to it. I LOVED last night's ep SO much, but seriously?!! OMG!?!

I'll try to do the coherent thoughts later this week

"Amelia Pond, that's a fairy tale name."

Given that I'm watching the episode again, let's give this a try. I'm pretty chuffed with the fairy tale/imagination bit becoming real and my predicting that. But other than that, I'm a bit stumped. I expected the Doctor to be imprisoned in the Pandorica. Once we had a volunteer I even expected it to be Rory, I just didn't expect him to be an Auton.

At the moment, I don't know where this is going. The only questions I have left are these: Whose is the voice of "Silence will fall"? It sounds Dalek/Davros-like, but somehow I'm not buying that. I've the feeling it's someone else, I just don't know who. Someone who can control the TARDIS?
The burn marks on Amy's lawn, what are they? Those above all look familiar, but I can't place them yet.

If Rory is (in a way) a figment of Amy's imagination, then when did they scan her? Obviously it has to be sometime before Cold Blood.

And of course, what is the crack exactly? How did it come into existence? And why doesn't Amy remember the Daleks from Stolen Earth/Journey's End? Basically, just who is (or was) Amy Pond?

One more very interesting thing...

What is future Doctor, presumably next ep's Doctor, doing in Flesh and Stone? Why does he tell Amy to remember? To remember what?
"Do everything I tell you, don't ask stupid questions, and don't wander off"?
"Beans are evil"?
"Funny's good"?
"You're not scared of anything"?
"Two parts of space and time that should never have touched"?
"The only way to close the breach is to open it all the way. The forces will invert, and it will snap itself shut"?

Or does he go back to tell her something?
Or shall we just stick to "Amelia Pond, like a name in a fairy tale"?
Or perhaps, quite simply, "Trust me, I'm the Doctor"?

I guess we'll find out, but I just wanted to add to the mystery

Also: "I am definitely a madman with a box!" :-s

Oh fab Marieke, you're so good at this stuff!! :jump:

I had forgotten about him appearing to Amy in Flesh & Stone and that Amy knew nothing about Daleks!!

Could the voice be the Master? :-s

You;re right to ask the question who/what is Amy? It was odd from the Doctor's first meeting with Amy when she was 7 and in the house alone :-s I think the Alliance must have scanned Amy from the time she met the Doctor as an adult. She was going out with Rory at that time, sort of.
Mmmm, now I'm making my brain ache & I'm not even thinking about time travel :lol

Roll on next Saturday when all will be revealed, or at least it will be once Marieke has explained it lol

Edit: can I just add that River was a prisoner for murder and that she said that the man was the best she'd ever known...he Doctor?? :-s

Either that, or I'm insane

Master... I don't think so. Much though I would like a brand new Master to go with Eleven, maybe not just yet. As for another Time Lord, given that they would have to be able to control the TARDIS I'd think that *could* be possible. Except we just had Time Lords, so maybe not?

Yeah, the empty house raises questions too. Too many rooms. (Edit, also this: http://www.denofgeek.com/television/515 ... opens.html I like the theory that it might possibly tie in with The Lodger. I like the Amy's Choice theories. And I'm LOVING the fact that right now everything seems to tie in one way or other)

And yes, but that raises the question what is true and what is false in recent episodes? What came just from Amy's imagination and what was real?

lol

I'd say that's likely, yep! But at least we know that that's not going to happen next week. At least it'd better not. Because River was already in Stormcage by the beginning of the last episode, and for her to break out to kill the Doctor, then get arrested for precisely that and be imprisoned until she breaks out creates a bit of an impossible time loop

Hi Marieke, You are amazing.

I have just watched the latest Dr. Who and think 'this is good', but I don't understand a lot of what goes on. Now I understand why. I should have watched every episode and analysed it. My daughter and I discuss each episode, but only at a superficial level.

Incidentally, have you been to London recently?

Aw, thanks Sal! I think part of what it is, is that I like reading stories like that, and I like dissecting them, to know why things are as they are. Theorizing about Who is the very logical next step for me :-) And of course it's fun writing about that! :-)

Last time was... April? Ange? I lost all sense of time I'm afraid! lol Who knows what I can squeeze in this summer, but I don't have anything planned yet :-)

hehe! loved reading all the theories on the geek thing

I'm glad I'm not the only one with brain ache lol

I think River being part of an impossible time loop is very possible as she said 'spoilers!!' to Amy in the last ep when Amy spoke of the Angels ep & River said it hadn't happend yet for her!!

Just been reading this interview with Matt Smith - couple of interesting snippets ...

http://www.whatsontv.co.uk/drama/doctor ... sodes/9408

"When I read the script for last week’s episode, I thought, ‘How the hell is he going to get out of this one?’ – not just the Doctor, but Stephen Moffat, the show’s writer. He does, though, and it’s amazing how cleverly Stephen plays with time and captures the magic of time travel."

" .. there is a scene in this last episode featuring a character who comes back and is very significant. That was a great challenge for me, and an excellent piece of writing."

So is the voice in the TARDIS someone we already know - could be the master then? Mind you, could be several other possibilities so it doesn't really narrow it down!! The voice did sound very like Davros to me!

LOL

Fabulous bit of writing, I thought. Loved tonight's episode but can't believe we have to wait for Christmas now for some more!!

Wonder if we will finally find out who River is next series or if SM will keep us hanging a bit longer?! Loved the Dalek begging her for mercy!! :suprise:

Lol
