Here's a video of Freek's performance in the first live show.
He's the guy in the orange suit. First shot: first row on the right

Well he can sell a song, like a certain Mr Mead, and he seems to have the bod for a loincloth!!!

But why oh why oh why couldn't Lee have done that song - open-shirted!!! :thud:

LOL

I just found out the songs for the next live show and Paint it Black is one of the songs...
That's the third song they sing which Lee sang as well..
Living on a Prayer and Mack the Knife were last two weeks

Teehee, I have tickets for the finale and of course Freek will be there.
For those outside Holland, Freek is now one of the last four wannabe Josephs!!

And guess what... tomorrow he'll sing You Raise Me Up... now, where have I heard that before??? :p

Here's a clip of Freek singing This Is The Moment from Jekyll and Hyde - can he sing, or what??

It's a bit weird watching this again after not having seen the shows for a couple of weeks, but I was very impressed

First show: http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=8173107
Result show: http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=8173109

Lee's about 48 mins into the first show

And Howard squee!

I do hope no one was walking outside my room just now, I was making a lot of strange squee noises

(And for the record: the coat is ugly!!! lol )

Thanks, Marieke!

He looks good although pale.

Such a shame they didn't get to see him in the show.

Thanks for the links. Looks like your Dutch show was very similar to ADWD. Freek isn't quite a gorgeous as our Lee, but he seems to be a good choice.

When does the show start?

Hmmmm not bad. He's sexy alright. I don't think his voice is a good as Lee's. He was a bit screechy for me, but great acting and excellent diction. He might come on a bit as he get's into the shows. He's experienced anyway so he'll probably do well.

Oh yeah, that was a very very naughty interpreation!! :thud: But Freek handled it well and I think he'll make a good Joseph.

The entire Dutch Joseph production was amazing. The candidates looked so bouncy and lively on stage--I especially liked their group numbers in "Grease Lightning" and "Beat It". You can tell the boys really put their hearts and souls into their performances.

Even though I couldn't understand what they were saying, the loincloth mission looked sooo funny! The boys just opened up their color-coordinated boxes and started laughing. None of 'em looked frazzled at being so exposed in public like some of the BBC Joseph. They didn't even go into another room to change! Just stripped off their clothes on the spot and yanked those loincloths on over their underwear. (Amir looked like he had trouble putting his on. )

Nope! Thought I like Freek, I'm not planning on seeing it! It may change, but probably not! I've lost my heart to another Joseph production

   Well, Pumpkinpuss suggested it and I found it too tempting to pass up. Too bad youtube doesn't come with automatic subtitles. *Watches leetje92 bounce for joy*

Hmmm, I'm wondering if we could do the same here in America. Find a sexy talented young man with lots of dark curly hair and a sweet disposition and put him on a TV competition in a nationwide search!

Darn it, I want a Joseph!! But alas, they're all rare and hard to find these days.
