At the moment auditions are on the way for the Dutch Joseph, which will open in December.
Coming fall the TV shows will start - the program is the same format as the UK Any Dream Will Do - and we all know who won that one

It's the first time ever that Joseph will be on stage in Holland and not many people know the show, so just before Lee's performance at the Dutch Musical Awards, they explained the story and showed snippets of the auditions.

I almost got a heart attack when I saw one of the guys who were auditioning. We went to see the new Dutch Les Mis not too long ago and both my daughter and I 'fell' for the new Enjolras, Freek Bartels. We met him after the show and he is such a cutie!!! I haven't seen any of the other guys, but I've picked my winner already. Not only is he cute, very sweet, has a great voice, but he immediately reminded me of someone when I saw him for the first time....

What do you think??

I love Freek Bartels !!
I hope he's still in Les Mis when I'm going because 'Op zoek naar Joseph' has already started by then
He really is my Dutch Joseph !
I've seen some others in real life as well and they were quite good but they don't have the looks
I really hope Freek is going to win

So I'm guess that a Lee/Freek duet would be a mildly exciting concept for you ...

Freek is great. I saw him in Les Miserables. He has just to win. I have bought tickets for the Dutch Any Dream Will Do and I have tickets for the musical Joseph.
About 10 days I will see him again in Les Miserables and I will tell him that I have made a fansite about him. Is it okay that I post the link? This is:
www.freekbartelsfansite.nl It is in Dutch, but take a look by the videos, he is great

The show started yesterday and as promised the link for those who want to see it:
http://player.omroep.nl/?aflID=7794621
If you click on the text "Bekijk op volledig scherm" you can see the video on full screen.

There's an introduction first, where they look back on the search for Evita, then an introduction on Joseph (with a clip of Lee!! )

After that clips of the auditions and callbacks.

I'm not going to translate everything  but if you want to know what's being said or have questions just post them and I'll try to answer them

I'm guessing you mean Bloed, Zweet en Tranen.... lol No, the titles sound almost similar, but it's a typically Dutch song, a levenslied.

The link should be valid, but I'm not sure if they've uploaded everything yet. Anyhow, episode 2 "Joseph Academy":

I won't be seeing Joseph again after January 10th. I first saw Joseph when I was 9 when I went with the school. It moved me so much that I swore I'd never see it again as I didn't want to spoil that first time. I knew from Lee's first audition that he would live up to that memory. Lee has not only lived up to that memory but blown it out of the water. I don't think anyone could better Lee's Joseph and I want to remember it that way. Sorry if this sounds a bit deep :shy:.
