No pics (we somehow ended up in Maiden Lane instead of the SD at Her Majestys  ) but oh how brilliant the show was!!

Ramin and Alex were absolutely amazing! And Christine (no idea who played her) was brilliant too. She had me in tears with 'Wishing you were somehow here again' and after that the whole finale... More tears.

Ramin's 'Music of the Night' was so amazing!! Goosebumps! And Alex singing 'All I Ask of You' was very :thud: too. (Not to mention Alex in uniform during Masquerade!)

I really had goosebumps the entire time tho! I've been listening to the music for years now and to finally see it... wow! My favourite song probably still is 'Point of no return' and today it was just brilliant!

Ooooh the Masquerade Raoul costume!! That's my FAVOURITE Raoul costume ever!! Simply stunning.

Glad you had a lovely time. What day did you go? I might be able to work out which Christine you got... (if it was Tuesday then I think it should have been Robyn North, unless she was off ill or anything)

I'm so pleased that Ramin's staying on another year, he really is an amazing Phantom. Music of the Night is just incredible. Plus "stronGER" in the title song - best thing ever!!!

I saw this musical 1,5 year ago and 3 months ago. I love that show. I have pictures of me with Michael Xavier and Ramin. But I can't find them on this moment. I will post them soon.

Yeh it should have been Robyn then. She's doing Mondays, both shows on Tuesdays and Thursdays in July. Leila Benn Harris is doing Wednesdays, Fridays and both shows on Saturdays during July. This then swaps round in August, and then they are both leaving on 6th September. (That is their schedule anyway, but it is subject to change obviously)
Robyn is my favourite at the minute. At first I preferred Leila, but I just adore Robyn now, hopefully will be seeing her the next time I go.

Yes Ramin is staying on for another year.
Sam Hiller and James Barron (Monsieurs Firmin and Andre, the managers) are both leaving, very sad indeed, will miss them. And obviously Alex who plays Raoul is leaving too.

Anyone manage to catch Ramin and Robyn on ITV's This Morning??

I saw it a couple of months ago and was blown away! I saw Joseph the night before, so I was on a Lee high, but as soon as the music started I was captivated! And I saw the film for the first time a couple of weeks before and I just about go the storyline! But it was amazing! Ramin was an amazing Phantom Music of the Night was so beautiful! And Alex was gorgeous lol Loved All I ask of you. Christine was amazing (not sure which one ) Wishing you where somehow here again was amazing! But Ramin was the best though, and brought me to tears at the end! No problem giving him a standing ovation, practically jumped out of my seat! lol Brilliat sho, highly reccomend!

Lol, I share your sentiments exactly! Alex's last day at Phantom was very emotional indeed. I'd love to say that I held back the tears, but I'm too emotional for that and ended up sobbing my heart out!

Glad Ramin's stayed on though, even though I won't be back in a hurry to see the show again. Think I'm all Phantomed out after seeing it so many times with last year's cast.

A few months back Tricia and I were supposed to see Phantom for my birthday, unfortunately Tricia fell ill and at very short notice we had to re-book, so I had been looking forward to my birthday trip to the theatre for a little over 2 months. I woke up yesterday morning feeling decidely unwell, the mother of all sore throats and very little voice, but I was determine that nothing was going to stop me, although during the day I would have much rather have gone home to a warm bed, lemsip and Lee (not necessarilly in that order, lol).

I have never seen the movie of Phantom and didn't actually know the story line and only knew a little bit of the score, I knew it was a love story but that was about it, so it was with a large amount of excitment that I met Tricia and we took our seats.

Tricia was so thoughtful to book an inside isle seat for me as she knows I am having leg problems (and have been for months now), which meant I could sit in comfort with my legs stretched out to the side, and then it started and as quickly as it started it stopped. A problem with the mechanics of the Candelier, you'd think after 21 years (or is it more) they would have got it right by now, anyway after a short break, we started again. And I was transported back to Victoria Paris and that's where I stayed (well until the interval).

I loved every single minute of this show - so much so that I can't wait to go again (and again) My only disappointment was in Raul, don't get me wrong, he was good but I found that during the whole show I was watching and thinking about Lee and how perfect he would be for the role. Lee was made to play Raul and one day I am sure he will and I can't wait for that.

As for Ramin, Tricia knew how his voice affected me during ALW's 60th and listening to him sing live in front of me was absolutely breathtaking, he was brilliant, but then so were the whole cast.

I never expected to enjoy this show as much as I did, but now that I have seen it I think I'm going to become a Ramin Groupie. Already listened to some of his stuff on his website and will follow his career almost as avidly as another musical theatre star currently wowing audiences in the West End.

THANK YOU TRICIA - I HAD A BRILLIANT BELATED BIRTHDAY :teddyheart:

Thats okay Glad you enjoyed it. I had seen it before and it blew me away then. But I am a musical theatre nut so its not surprising.
ALW is a very very clever man. I just hope Phantom 2 is as good. it will be hard to top the original. and ALW will admit he doesn't always get it right.
Lee would be brilliant as Raoul, thats another role made for him, just as Joe was.

Glad you had a fabulous belated birthday treat, Anne.

I think I shall have to go and see Phantom again. Ramin is SO good. I saw Alex as Raoul, but I kept wishing it was Lee.

Me and OH saw it on our first wedding anniversary, right in the middle of moving house (good timing - not). Unfortunately we were sold poor seats. I was advised by our local travel agent (who also sold WE MT tickets) that the show was better viewed from further back. We were in row S or T so none of the higher stuff was visible to us and we didn't get the full atmosphere which was such a shame. I would like to go again but will wait until Lee finishes.

Having seen the show many times from many places, I really don't mind sitting further back in the stalls, but that's only because I've seen it from some of the best seats in the house already.
Best seat I ever sat in was probably row E, seat 15. Smack bang in the middle and perfect view of everything.
I've been thirteen times now and sat:
1 - Upper circle B10 (good but a bit far up, I'd rather be closer)
2 - Stalls L4 (overhang of Royal Circle affects part of the top of the stage)
3 - Royal Circle F31 (a bit far back for my liking)
4 - Royal Circle H10 (£25 restricted view ticket, good seat but a bit far up)
5 - Stalls E15 (amazing)
6 - Stalls Q30 (£25 restricted view ticket, apparently the pillar is in the way but it poses no problems at all)
7 - Stalls O29 (£25 RV again, the pillar DOES get in the way of this one though, I moved to seat 30 which was better)
8 - Stalls B7 (front row, amazing seat and I personally adore being so close, but some people aren't so keen on being that close)
9 - Stalls D20 (great seat, a little to the left though)
10 - Stalls F19 (great seat again, but I really shouldn't spend £55 a time!!)
11 - Stalls Q29 (£25 RV, my favourite seat in the house, just as its the best value for money ever, pillar poses no problem at all, only issue is the top of the proscenium but as I've already seen it it doesn't bother me)
12 - Royal Circle B24 (Very good seat, the show looks so magical from up there, but I just prefer the stalls)
13 - Stalls Q29 again.

I think row A or B of the Royal Circle would probably be the best seats for first time audiences, just because it looks so magical and wonderful from up there.

I have almost seen the show as often as you have!! I went to see it for the third time (!) at the weekend. I was on Row E seat 17 in the stalls (WOW I must say!!) Last night the stand by Phantom Nic Greenshields was on. I must say that he was really really good  After the show we met him and I got him to sign my programme. He was so sweet and lovely. Oh and did I mention PRETTY HOT too!!!   :teehee: I was wondering if anyone else has seen or met him, and what did you think? Also the understudy for Christine was on, Katie Hall, also very good and lovely too! Bless her.

I've seen Nic Greenshields four times now, he's a really amazing Phantom indeed. Especially in the Final Lair when he clutches the veil and sobs "My angel... MY angel..." Gorgeous performance. And he is a really lovely guy, very friendly.

I saw Katie Hall once back in July. She was ok. Well... Actually, when I saw her she had only performed a couple of times and I was actually very disappointed in her acting. She reminded me of a stroppy teenager, not what I want in a Christine. But I hear she's improved a lot since then, which is understandable, she's bound to improve with more practise and chances to perform!

Part of me prefers Nic to Ramin in some scenes, shock horror
