Grate story and the whole show was brilliant my only regret is not seeing Lee in it .But as he wasn't the understudy when I went that would have been impossible.

Can't wait, I'm seeing it also on 1st August. I can't decide if I should watch he film before seeing the show, I do know the story behind Phantom but wonder whether the show will be spoilt if I see the film first or as some have said, would I enjoy the show more if I see the film before hand, decisions decisions.

Hubby & I agree that we're glad we watched the film first for the plot so that we could enjoy the show without trying to figure out what was happening

I got a cheap ticket for yesterday's matinee, middle of stalls row F, a great seat. The theatre is much smaller than I had remembered too.

Ramin was terrific, far better than Earl Carpenter who played Phantom on both my previous visits. He commands the stage and was both scary and vulnerable.
Alex was lovely, and very good-looking. I have to say that I preferred his portrayal to that of Michael Xavier (sorry Angelie and friends). I really did not like Robyn North's voice - too like Sarah Brightman - but her acting is superb. The show really is fantastic, certainly worth more than one visit. I shall be interested to see what ALW has come up with for the sequel.

I actually saw the Policeman-in-the-Pit (Lee's old part) this time.

Hey - random to bump into you yesterday!! (Didn't see you after the show though, you didn't stage door which surprised me! Or did you head to the Adelphi to catch them before the evening show?)
It was a great show yesterday, one of the best I've seen probably ever actually. The new sound system is incredible, makes such a difference, I'm so glad they changed it!

Ramin is amazing, he really is great. He really does command the stage, and WHAT a voice! His Music of the Night yesterday was one of the best vocals I've heard in a LONG time.
Alex... Well.. I'm probably Alex's biggest fan haha. I always loved Michael Xavier, I really did. But Alex... He's just an adorable and amazing Raoul. And he was on top form yesterday. He just keeps getting better and better everytime I see him. He's also just the most lovely guy.
I do have to disagree slightly with you on my opinion of Robyn. It's a LONG time since I saw her, the last times I've had Leila and Sofia, and I thought that Robyn had really improved since I last saw her. Her acting is amazing, and I really do love her voice. I think I prefer her voice to Leila's.
Policeman in the Pit!! That would be John Addison - he's lovely! He's really sweet and funny. And he's great in the pit! Bless him.

Oh I think you really chose the best day to go see it - all the cast were on top form! And the atmosphere in the theatre was good, great audience reception. It was just such a good show.

Ha Ha! I've now been initiated into the Phantom clan!

I went with Ange and Mick on 24th and I thought it was absolutely stunning! Ramin was fantastic and me and Ange cried a fair bit and had to hold on to eachother. I had no idea of the story really appart from having read you lot going on about it, but I didn't have a problem figuring out what was going on as it was very well directed.

The sets were amazing and incredibly complicated. I love the bit where the Phantom and Christine go down some steps into the stage then almost immediatly appear on a platform high up in the gods! How do they do that? And the boat and the candles comming up out of the water......stunning!

Alex was cute, but I kept wanting it to be Lee! LOL!

The two guys who played the theatre owners were funny. It was nice to have a bit of humour in there.

I absolutely loved it. I'd definately go again!

Luv Kazzer

Hehe, no need to apologise for that! I love Alex's Raoul too. His portrayal's very different to Michael's, and although I prefer Michael's, Alex is still fantastic

You could get restricted view Stalls seats for £25. There will be a pillar in the way, and the Royal Circle overhang will get in the way of the parts that take place high up on stage... but for £25, they're realy very good, I think.

I got my Row F stalls for £40. I bought it the day before, at the theatre. I think Tues. matinee always has discounts.

OMG that's when Ramin was talking to me!!! Haha. I'm just to the left. Infact, it looks like you've cropped the photo a bit so you may be able to see a bit of me in the original can you? Didn't notice you taking a photo at all, very sly!

Also must point out how the sign behind Ramin says "No Motorcycles"...what a rebel!

Just a word of warning... the cast change is in September sometime, so Ramin might not actually be there in October, it just depends if he extends his contract or not.
Just thought I'd let you know!

Is there such a Phantom as hot as Ramin?!?
After the legendary Music of the Night performance that we had back in April, I'd have to say there is no such thing.

Haha.
