Avi size on the forum is limited to Maximum dimensions of width: 80 pixels, height: 80 pixels, file size: 1024.00 KB.

Please can I ask you to keep within the recommended banner sizes of 525x200

I've posted this because some of the moving banners are getting too big and may be a problem to anyone viewing the pages who may suffer with photosensitive epilepsy, due to the nature of the banners having repetitive actions.

I know the risk is slim, but It's better to be safe than sorry.

I did a bit of research on found this on the Epilepsy Action UK site.

Quote:
Risk from material displayed on computer monitors
If the material contains flashing, flickering or repetitive patterns, it will carry the same risk, whether it is viewed on a CRT monitor or an LCD monitor.

Images displayed on LCDs are sharper and brighter than on CRTs. Therefore, LCD screens may carry a higher risk than CRTs for people with photosensitive epilepsy who are sensitive to patterns with a high contrast.

Anti-glare screens

Thank you for your cooperation

Please can you make sure that banner sizes are kept within the 525x200 as specified.

There's going to be forced upgrade from freeforums in the near future which will include a banner size restriction setting, this setting will be set at 525x200 , and when the forum is changed over I'm sure oversized banners won't show up, so there's plenty of time before the change takes place to get any oversized banners resized.

I'll give you more details about the change, when I've got my head around it myself :?

Thank you for your cooperation

Dee x

I can also re-size banners, annimated or otherwise if anybody needs help.

And I'll work within the new guidelines with new ones!
